Grey Whales Outside The Harbor

Grey Whales are breaching right outside the harbor. This photo was caught on one of our Whale Watching excursions yesterday. The waters are alive with life and it is truly inspiring to see these prehistoric Mammals in their natural habitat.

Things to do in the Harbor

There are many great amenities that you can enjoy during your visit at Dana Point Harbor. There are the many water activities which include kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, fishing, whale watching, and jet skiing.

Land activities include bicycle riding, strollering, rollerblading, jogging and walking around the Harbor. You can start at the Golden Lantern retail area and walk all the way around the island area and to the Ocean Institute and back on wide sidewalks with fantastic water and boat views.

On the Island and at Baby Beach there are picnic and bbq areas, restrooms and lots of grassy areas for activities. Check out the community tiled wall at Baby Beach and enjoy the sandy between your toes.

The tidepools are just behind the Ocean Institute and is a wildlife sanctuary, so just leave footprints and take away only memories! Enjoy.
